My kindergartners and I have been discussing shapes and their attributes this week. Today we sponge painted shapes to make a picture. The kids loved this activity. They were telling each other what shape they were using while making their different pictures. They would discuss topics such as how many side a shape has, how many corners, what color paint they were using, and what shapes made their picture. (A square and a triangle make a house). The students really benefited from this activity and they did an excellent job. Here are some examples of their work.
